Cathedral Building Services Website

A new website built for Cathedral Building Services who have recently been acquired by a long-term customer of ours Dante Group.

A new responsive website was built to replace the old, outdated CBS website.

We started off creating website visuals in ADOBE XD and a story board that we offered to CBS with our vision of how their brand-new website should look and feel.

Once this wireframe was passed, we started to build the development site. The new site features new pages outlining the services CBS offer and a new contact page with map and form utilising the latest reCAPTCH offered by Google.

The images were optimised to latest web standards WEBP and the website developed to be fast utilising PHP8.1 scoring a GTMETRIX score of A, performance score of 100% and structure score of 98% loading in 1.2seconds.

Google Tag Manager was used to install Google Analytics 4 in place of Universal Analytics which will stop reporting on the 1st of July 2023. We do offer a GA3 to GA4 replacement service for those that are keen on their analytics. We also installed via tag manager conversion tracking for the main points of contact. These include clicks on phone numbers, email addresses and submitted contact forms.

Once signed off, the site was then migrated from our development server to one of our production cloud servers.

With the recent increase in DDoS attacks across the web we routed the CBS domain and DNS through Cloudflare as an extra layer of security. Utilising the Cloudflare Web Application Firewall (WAF) and our own WordPress specific rules we’ve helped to secure their site while increasing speed even more by using their content delivery network (CDN).
